Marilyn Monroe – the blond bombshell that women emulate even to this day.
Born in 1926, Norma Jeane Mortenson, or Marilyn Monroe as we know her, was an American actress, model and singer. She was a top-billed actress in her day and her movies had grossed $200 million by the time she passed away in 1962 due to a barbiturate overdose.
Marilyn was very private about her private life, but she allow one person into her life, photographer Milton H. Greene. With Greene, she would pose in 52 separate locations and take over 5,000 photographs.
You can view some of these photographs at the Proud Central Gallery in London to view some of the rare images Greene was able to capture of the icon. The exhibit, “Up Close with Marilyn: Portraits by Milton H. Greene” is available until June 24, 2018.
