Featuring 16 of Kylie Jenner’s Unique and Colorful Hairstyles

The youngest member of the Jenner/Kardashian Clan, Kylie Jenner is a reality star and fashion icon who was named one of Time Magazine’s Most Influential Teens of 2014 and she’s also one of the top followed celebrities on Instagram. And Instagram is one of the best places to keep up with what’s going on in Kylie’s life. Particularly what color her hair is at the moment!

Kylie first dyed her hair at the age of 16—without her mom’s permission—and she loved it so much that she just kept doing it. She loved the feeling of looking different every time and she can re-invent herself as often as she wants.

Here’s a list of the Top 16 Kylie Jenner Hair Colors over the last couple of years:

#1 Go Green, Go Long

Maybe it’s because it is the color of money, but Kylie Jenner looks fabulous in these long, green locks. Considered to be the color of life, energy, growth, and environment, green is often believed to be a lucky color in some cultures. As for Kylie Jenner’s choice of light green here (toward the end of September, 2015), we really like it! This one comes in the form of a wig created by Tokyo Stylez, hair and wig designer for stars such as Naomi Campbell and Lil’ Kim. He may be most well-known for the gray wig that he created for Rihanna to wear on the cover of Tush Magazine in 2014.

#2 The Color Purple

Lavender flowers are known for their ability to provide relaxation and comfort. In this case, we think that Kylie’s lavender hair is much more than that! This pastel purple is absolutely fabulous to go along with her skin tone. While bright hair color can be difficult to maintain because of the problem of fading, but pastel colors can be easier to sustain and keep their intended hue for longer time periods. Of course, for Kylie this aspect of hair coloring hardly matters as she tends to change her hair color more quickly than it is even able to think about fading out!  Even so, we think this light purple should be a keeper.

#3 Long Natural Brown with Highlighted Tips

One of the more natural-looking hair styles we’ve seen on Kylie Jenner lately is this sweet and sexy natural black half-updo with long highlights. We know Kylie’s hair isn’t this long, so she’s definitely rocking some extensions, but they’re so natural looking that we would have been fooled. The subtle brown highlights offer a gentle glow to her face as Kylie signs a book at a Pacsun Meet and Greet in Chicago, November 2014.

#4 Navy Blue

This 26 inch long wig was another one created by Tokyo Stylez for Kylie. This one took a long time to work into her hair, but it was super effective because it didn’t require glue or tape. Instead, it was held onto Kylie’s scalp with elastic bands that were sewn into the wig and then woven into her natural hair to keep it all together.  If you look at the dark blue coloring just right, it might make you think of the blue-black hair that Wonder Woman wore in all of her comic strips. And we all know that Wonder Woman is not a bad fashion icon to take after. We think the look is absolutely wonder-ful!

#5 Blonde with Pink Lights

One of our favorite more natural-looking styles Kylie has worn in the past couple of years, this blonde bob seems to be her natural hair cut in a choppy style and laced with just a bit of pink. It’s possible that she’s wearing some extensions here, simply because she loves them, but for the most part this blonde with dark roots look is complimented by Kylie’s natural colored makeup and buff lips. It’s less bold than a lot of Kylie’s styles, but definitely still beautiful.

#6 Ice Blue Long

Kylie’s first experience with master wig stylist, Tokyo Stylez, was this ice blue long number that stepped up the hair color styling game significantly. Apparently, Tokyo enjoyed working with Kylie from the very beginning, finding her to be humbling with a welcoming spirit. Apparently this first wig took about a day and a half to make, with Kylie sending head measurements and feedback on the exact color she wanted. The two communicated through text and Facetime in order to get it exactly the way Kylie wanted it. The results? Absolutely gorgeous!

#7 Short Light Bob with Turquoise Streaks

If you want something interesting but not shocking, following Kylie’s lead on these subtle (in comparison to her normal all over hues!) blue highlights. These can be obtained by bleaching and coloring various strands of the hair to frame the face. Or, for an even less permanent look, try out some hair extensions that clip in. Kylie even has her own hair extension company, called Kylie Hair Kouture by Bellami. This can be a fun style for the weekend but can be completely reversed on Monday for those who have (ahem) real jobs and aren’t teenage reality stars.

#8 Emerald Green

We’re green with envy over this color that reminds us of the Emerald City from the Wizard of Oz. It could be reminiscent of Elphaba from Wicked. Or maybe, sticking with the super-hero theme, it channels Kylie’s inner Incredible Hulk. Either way, the dark green tresses were revealed in late November 2015, and was a bit shorter than some of her other wigs and weaves. And the white outfit she’s wearing makes Kylie’s hair that much more of a statement. We are just wondering if she should have worn it in March, for St. Patty’s Day, instead.
