Kim Kardashian, American fashion and beauty icon, continues to wow the world with her striking ability to be spot-on with her wardrobe and makeup on any occasion. While the reality television star seems to live quite far out of typical reality, she certainly always looks on top of her game and now she has made it possible for average people to do the same.
With her new website subscription offering access to beauty tips and hacks, anyone can get Kim’s look with just a little bit of effort. Oh, and quite a bit of cash. All of the pieces of her “everyday beauty routine” run upwards of $800, without including the professional brush collection. Take a look to see which products you could add to your daily routine.
Here’s the breakdown of the products Kim shares with her app subscribers:
Underneath It All
Starting off right with a moisturizer to keep skin soft and supple is critical. Kim uses Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Moisturizer for all skin types.
Before applying foundation, prep the eyelids with MAC Cosmetics Paint Pot in Soft Ochre. This will keep the eye shadow from creasing and cause it to last much longer throughout the entire day.
For special attention for under the eyes, gently apply Clé de Peau Beauté Concealer in Almond before applying foundation to the face. This covers imperfections such as dark circles or rings and allows the foundation to cover more evenly.
Giorgio Armani’s Luminous Silk Foundation (colors #7 and #9) provides the base palette for everything else Kim wears.
Apply foundation to moisturized face and neck by dabbing all over and gently spreading evenly with this Original Makeup Sponge Applicator.
Now that the base is taken care of, it’s time to move on to the eyes.
Using no less than three shades of brown shadow, Kardashian’s makeup artist, Patrick Ta, smudges shadow into the crease and along the upper line of the lashes. These are three great browns for dramatic eye effects: Anastasia Beverly Hills Eye Shadow in Fawn and Smoke , and Chanel Ombre Essentielle Soft Touch Eye Shadow in 86 Trace.
Once these shadows have been applied, create a look that will make the eyes pop by adding a touch of MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Global Glow in the inside corners of the eyelids, to achieve an extra amount of glow.
One eyelash curler would obviously never be enough for Kim K! Go for the stylish Surratt Beauty Relevee Lash Curler Or the slightly less expensive Kevyn Aucoin Eylash Curler. Either one will work well to give shape to the lashes while giving them a fuller appearance and making the eyes look more open and full, while protecting the lashes from being pulled out or harmed in the process.
Once the eyelashes are curled, it’s time to apply the mascara to go from boring to “Wow”!. Make the eyes center stage of your face with Givenchy Noir Couture Volume Mascara.
Although this is the “every day look” Kim is sharing, if you want to go for extra full lashes then work with false eyelashes such as Esqido Lashes Lashlorette that Patrick Ta recommends. You’ll want DUO’s Eyelash Adhesive to keep your falsies firmly secured and your eyes looking bright and open.
Finally, when it’s all said and done, Kim K still has to keep everything touched up and looking gorgeous. You’ll likely find TATCHA Aburatorigami Blotting Sheets in Kim’s purse, just to keep the shine away and maintain that fresh looking makeup.
Maybe not as obvious as the eyelashes, but just as important, the eyebrows play an important role in keeping the face balanced and looking on point. Obviously, brows need to be kept neatly groomed with waxing or threading. Kim uses Anastasia Beverly Hills Precision Tweezers to keep her brows looking neat in between salon visits.
For the daily routine, brush the brow hairs with Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Medium Brown using the spoolie brush end to keep the brows looking natural. Finish it off with Kelley Baker’s Clear Eyebrow Gel to hold it all in place.
Kim would barely be recognizable without the contouring of her cheeks. Using Giorgio Armani Maestro Liquid Summer Bronzer, apply with the large end of the Beautyblender Brush to the hairline, jawlines, and hollows of the cheeks.
Use Givenchy Prisme Libre Loose Powder in Voile Rose to set the makeup around and underneath the eyes. Then, to fight oil and shine on areas that are prone, such as the forehead or chin, follow with La Mer The Powder.
For a stronger impact, go with Youngblood Pressed Mineral Blush in Nectar to add color to the cheeks, then highlight the upper parts of the cheekbone with Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Powder in Champagne Pop.
Finally! The secret of Kim Kardashian’s amazing, pouty lips. Makeup designer, Patrick Ta, uses the all-important lip liner by MAC, Pro Longwear Lip Pencil in Etcetera. Fill in between the lines with MAC Lipstick in Freckletone, for that signature nude lip look.
I think we can all agree that Kim Kardashian is a fashion guru who has definitely earned the right to offer advice. And if she’s willing to share her beauty secrets, then we’re thrilled to have them!
