10 Celebrities Who Lost Their Home to Foreclosure

There were more than 1.5 million foreclosures in the United States in 2012 alone. While it may seem logical to assume that someone earning millions would be far from troubled enough to face such a financial burden, the truth is foreclosures are far more common on homes worth more than $1 million, and even celebrities are not immune to losing their home to the bank when their lifestyle outpaces their income.

Here are ten celebrities who have gone through foreclosure, including some that may surprise you.

1. Nas

Rapper Nas experienced foreclosure first-hand in 2012 when SunTrust Bank foreclosed on his two-bedroom, three-bath home in Georgia. He purchased the house in 2004 for $585,000, and it sold for just $348,000 at auction.

Nas had defaulted on his loan payments after facing growing financial problems. The IRS had reportedly garnished his earnings because he had more than $6 million in delinquent taxes. Nas still has a home in New York City.
