There are so many uses for hair dryers which will help you everywhere in your daily life.
Dry Your Nails
Just put it on low or medium then move the hair dryer back and forth. If you set the hair dryer too high, it will ruin your nails, so be patient and use low or medium settings.
Professional Finish on your Cake
Ever wonder how to get your ganache all smooth and shiny-like? It’s simple. Get out your blow dryer! Turn the heat up, bump the speed down and blow dry your cake, while simultaneously smoothing it out with that there cake spreader tool.
All you need is a HAIRDRYER! The heat from the hairdryer relaxes the heavy duty commercial adhesives that hold on the stickiest of stickers. After 45 seconds of direct heat, test a corner of the sticker and see if it peels away easily. If it doesn’t, continue the hairdryer treatment for another 45 seconds or so. Then, start peeling off the sticker. For larger stickers, you may need to work in sections.
Custom Fit Your Glasses
Custom fit your plastic frame glasses. Simply heat up the ends and mold them to fit our head. This works great on store bought glasses. I wouldn’t recommend this for your $300 designer glasses frames. I bought these prescription glasses in Vietnam for only $12! They’re a great back up pair.
Remove Crayon Off Walls
First you take the hair dryer and heat the crayon. This should melt the wax and make the crayon softer and easier to scrub off. Then take the dish soap with a paper towel or rag and scrub scrub scrub that wall! If you heated the crayon enough, it should come right off. Luckily this trick worked great and I was able to scrub the crayon away.
Remove Candle Wax
Blow dry the wax until it melts. Set your blow dryer to a “hot” setting and use it to heat up the wax. As you do so, try not blow the wax around – it’s easier to wipe up if it’s all in one puddle, rather than spread out.
It’s frustrating to lose mirror access after a steamy shower! Dry that steam off with a quick blast of hot air from your hair dryer. Now you can just leave the blow dryer on and continue drying your hair 🙂
Get wrinkles out of clothes
Just hang your shirt or other garment up, aim, and blow dry from an inch or two away. WikiHow notes, however, that this trick works best on cotton fabrics.
Most hair dryers produce air that’s about 200 degrees Fahrenheit when the nozzle is about 2 inches from a surface. That’s the perfect temperature for melting chocolate (or butter) without burning it.
Remove Band-Aids Painlessly
Just heat it up and you’re on your way to pain-free Band-Aid removal.
